EOTC 2016

Last week from monday to thursday, the Pohutukawa Syndicate had their EOTC week. We did some really cool stuff and I’m going to tell you all about it.

On tuesday we learnt heaps of things on surviving when a natural disaster happens and we learnt what happens when someone is bleeding or is hurt. When we went to Whaea Bex’s class we learnt how to bandage someone when they are bleeding or hurt. I learnt how to bandage someone when they have a cut or a bruise on their foot.

Then on wednesday the year 5 & 6s had a sleepover at the hall and it was my favorite part of the EOTC week. First we got split into 2 groups, I with Miss Hills and the others went with Miss Souter. My group did cricket and football and the others did basketball and hockey. Then after all of that we went to have some fruit and water and headed back inside and did a reflection on what we did that day. When we finished we had a shared supper and had some yummy treats but I got put on the naughty mat so I got to have the treats after my time finished. Then after a little while the teachers decided that we could play a game of spotlight! Everyone was very excited to play but then… people said they saw clowns and straight away I thought that was stupid but they stopped spotlight anyways. After a little rest we watched this movie called Flubber starring Robin Williams. Then the time started going on 12:00 and the teachers decided it’s time to go sleep.

Now it’s thursday but it’s 1:45 in the morning and I woke up by something that was very disturbing… The noise was so loud my ears felt like exploding, my ears hurt so much I felt like sticking my pillows into it but then. I turned around and it was Philip snoring. We tried to flip him over but we couldn’t resist the snoring it was too loud! That was the challenging thing for me.
